LONDON KNIGHTS ANNOUNCE NEW ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER

The London Knights have announced today that Colin MacDonald will join the front office staff as the team’s new Assistant General Manager.

MacDonald has extensive experience in the Ontario Hockey League, playing four seasons for the Plymouth Whalers from 2009 to 2013 where he captained the team during his final season. He has also served as an Assistant Coach for the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs Minor Bantam AAA team.

The London native is a recent graduate of the Ivey School of Business, where he received an HBA. He previously studied International Business at King’s University College.

“We are extremely proud to welcome Colin to our front office staff”, said London Knights General Manager Rob Simpson. “Colin brings a wealth of knowledge to the London Knights, having played four seasons in the league including captaining his team, and then using his OHL Education Package to obtain his schooling from King’s University and Ivey Business School.  We are very excited that he will bring this familiarity with the league to his role with the London Knights.”

MacDonald will be replacing former Knights’ Assistant General Manager Jake Goldberg, who recently took a position with the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League.
