MCCARRON INVITED TO 2014/15 U.S. NATIONAL JUNIOR EVALUATION CAMP

U.S.A. Hockey announced Wednesday that 42 players, including London Knights forward Michael McCarron, were invited to attend the U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp, August 2-9 in Lake Placid, New York. McCarron, a native of Macomb, Michigan, was acquired by the Knights in a trade with the Belleville Bulls in June of 2012.  In 66 Games with Knights last season, he netted 14 goals and 22 assists along with 120 penalty minutes.  McCarron has previous experience with the U.S. National Hockey Program playing two seasons for the U-18 and U-17 Development teams.  A 1st round pick (25th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, McCarron can add plenty of size and skill upfront for the U.S. World Junior Team when they compete in the 2015 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Hockey Championships, December 26 2014- January 5, 2015 in Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec.  Of the 42 players invited to the evaluation camp, 23 will be selected for the team come late December.
