Hockey Canada has released the invitees for it’s 2022-23 U-18 Selection Camp, among the players invited is Knights, Denver Barkey and Oliver Bonk.

Barkey is coming off his first full season in the OHL after being selected 16th overall by the Knights in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection. Barkey impressed the coaching staff and worked to play consistent minutes at just 16 years old throughout the 2021-22 season. He recorded 7 goals and 8 assists in 53 games played. Bonk, the 26th overall selection in the 2021 draft, spent the majority of the year with the GOJHL’s St. Thomas Stars. Bonk was called into the Knights lineup on several occasions due to injury on the London blueline. Bonk found is way into all 7 Knights playoff games, proving he can hold his own and impressing throughout the postseason. His strong play was rewarded after he recorded his first career OHL goal in Game 2 vs the Rangers.

Both Barkey and Bonk were selected the Hockey Canada U-17 Capital City Challenge in November 2021.
