BROCHU, EVANGELISTA INVITED TO TEAM CANADA SELECTION CAMP

Monday, December 1st, Hockey Canada released their 2022 IIHF World Junior Selection Camp Roster. Knights netminder, Brett Brochu, and Knights captain, Luke Evangelista were invited to the camp. Both were previously invited to the Hockey Canada Summer Showcase in July.

Brochu, currently ranks first in the Ontario Hockey League in Save Percentage, posting a .918 and a league best 14 wins with a record of 14-4-1. Brochu also ranks second the league in GAA with 2.59 to start the year, also logging in the most minutes played by a goalie (1135) throughout the OHL.

Evangelista gets the invite to the camp after starting the year becoming the first player OHL player to hit the 20 goal mark in the 2021-22 season, currently leading the league after two months. Evangelista has led the Knights to a 15-4-1 start, while recording a team high 33 points and a 1.83 ppg.

Team Canada’s Selection Camp will kick off on Thursday, December 9th and will run through to Monday, December 13th.
