BROCHU NAMED TO CANADA’S 2022 WORLD JUNIOR ROSTER

AUGUST 1 – Hockey Canada has released their roster for the restart of the 2022 World Juniors in Edmonton. Knights goaltender and OHL goaltender of the year, Brett Brochu was named to the team as one of three goalies returning to the roster.
Brochu was originally named to the 2022 team in December, starting and winning a game over Czechia. The tournament was eventually canceled just a day later to COVID-19.
Brochu proved himself as the best goaltender in the OHL again this past season, finishing his 2021-22 season as the OHL Goaltender of the Year with a stat line of 2.75 GAA, 0.911 SV%, and a 29-11-2 record. Despite an ankle injury late in the season, Brochu managed to make his return for the playoffs and just months later he returns to Edmonton, chasing gold with Team Canada.
Brochu and Canada will kick off the tournament on Wednesday, August 10th against Latvia at 6:00PM ET.
