With the unforeseen conclusion of the 2019-2020 season, we wanted to take a look back at the season that was. As an organization we welcomed many new faces to the team, accomplished many milestones, and shared some special moments as a team and with our fans and community.

  • Six members of the London Knights organization won gold with Team Canada at the 2020 IIHF World Junior Championships in the Czech Republic
  • Dale Hunter collected his 800th career win as a Head Coach in the OHL on January 23rd, 2020 in Windsor
  • On February 10th, 2020, Liam Foudy made his NHL debut for the Columbus Blue Jackets against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Foudy was called up on an emergency basis. On February 13th, Foudy was called up again and collected his first NHL point, an assist, against the Buffalo Sabres

Season Highlights

  • October 8th, 2019 – Liam Foudy and Alec Regula were named co-captains for the 2019-2020 season. Connor McMichael and Cole Tymkin were named as assistant captains
  • November 11th, 2019 – London played host to game 4 of the CIBC Canada-Russia Series. Three members of the Knights (Foudy, McMichael, Merkley) participated in the game while Dale and Dylan Hunter served behind the bench
  • December 6th, 2019 – Teddy Bear Toss
    • 8624 bears collected in support of the Salvation Army
    • Goal Scorer: Alec Regula
  • January 16th, 2020 – Luke Evangelista and Antonio Stranges participated in the CHL Top Prospects Game in Hamilton
  • January 17th, 2020 – Patrick Kane returned to Budweiser Gardens as we raised his number 88 to the rafters
  • February 11th, 2020 – The class of 2020 was inducted into the Don Brankley London Knights Hall of Fame
